Contact us to get started

The Sound of L.A. is more than a record label. It’s a creative home for artists, built in Los Angeles around real music, real stories, and real connection.

Founded by Anissa Boudjaoui Sutton and legendary Motown producer and songwriter Michael B. Sutton, The Sound of L.A. brings together experience, passion, and a deep love for music that stands the test of time.

Michael B. Suttons journey began at Motown, where he was personally selected by Stevie Wonder and introduced to Berry Gordy. During those years, he wrote and produced for iconic artists like Michael Jackson, Thelma Houston, and Smokey Robinson. His sound continues to live on, influencing generations and shaping the music we still feel today.

On the other side, Anissa Boudjaoui Sutton leads the vision, branding, and artist development. As the founder of   Pump It Up Magazine  and President of  Your Music Consultant, she focuses on helping artists find their voice, build their identity, and grow with purpose in today’s industry.

Together, they created The Sound of L.A. as a bridge between the past and the future — where timeless soul meets modern strategy, and where artists are supported not just to release music, but to build something real and lasting.

Supporting the vision is a dedicated team of industry professionals.

Jason Anderson, Artist Relations & A&R Consultant, brings deep experience in artist development and creative direction. He works closely with talent to help shape their sound, connect opportunities, and guide their growth in the industry.

Brice Duffour leads European radio promotion and media relations, expanding the reach of The Sound of L.A. across international markets. With strong connections in Europe, he helps secure airplay, press coverage, and global visibility for the artists.
